Mr Stephen Abbott

President, ACBC Qld

Stephen is a Partner and China Expert at KPMG.  He has over 20 years’ experience in International Business, Migration, Energy and Natural Resources. He specialises in working collaboratively to develop long-term partnerships with overseas investing companies specifically focussing on Chinese clients.  Stephen holds a number of Board positions and is actively involved in many aspects of international investments in the Australian landscape which includes specialised operational advice for clients.

Ms Nussara Smith


Nussara is an experienced senior executive with over 20 years experience in international business development, investment attraction and export facilitation in Trade and Investment Queensland, the Queensland Government's trade and investment agency.  Nussara has an in-depth knowledge of business opportunities and the trade and investment policy framework between Australia and Asia.  She has extensive experience in providing advice to businesses on trade and investment strategies with Asia.  In her former role as the Director for Asia, she was responsible for managing the Queensland Government international networks in Asia including its China operations.  She oversaw the development of business plans and a wide range of initiatives for China including regular trade missions to China.  She also worked closely with the Queensland-China Council on a China strategy over a number of years.
