Find out more about what is planned for the new Ritz-Carlton in the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development and gain an insight into what Asian tourists and investors are looking for. Ritz-Carlton’s rapid Australian expansion plans include hotels in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane in deals with The Star Entertainment Group, Far East Consortium and Chow Tai Fook. Ritz Carlton operates 12 hotels in China and is planning a further 11 developments in the coming years.
    James is a member of Marriott International’s Asia-Pacific Development team, based in HONG KONG and is principal contact for high profile brands including Bulgari, Ritz-Carlton, EDITION, JW Marriott, Marriott, Renaissance, Autograph Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and Moxy brands in Thailand, New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. Recent transactions include signing management contracts for The Ritz-Carlton Perth and Melbourne, the Melbourne Marriott Docklands and the Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach.  Prior to this role, James was part of Marriott’s in-house legal team, responsible for negotiation of management contracts and related agreements throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Geoff Hogg has more than 20 years of operational casino experience at a senior executive level. Geoff has been with The Star Entertainment Group since 2008, and as Managing Director his portfolio includes Treasury Casino & Hotel in Brisbane, Jupiters Gold Coast, and the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development. Prior to 2008, Geoff worked with the SKYCITY Entertainment Group for more than 13 years in their New Zealand properties.

    Rachel Crowley, Head of Corporate Relations - Brisbane Airport Corporation

Prior to joining BAC Rachel held a number of senior executive positions with Tourism Australia, including the global role of General Manager, Corporate Communications based in Sydney and Marketing Communications Manager, The Americas based in Los Angeles. Before joining TA Rachel’s career extended from journalism to government and consultancy. In her position with BAC, Rachel is responsible for the company’s media, community and government relations and has management oversight of its marketing platforms including its web presence and brand strategies.
