Understanding the benefits and opportunities provided by the
China Australia Free Trade Agreement

ACBC Victoria is pleased to invite you to our ChAFTA Forum, held in partnership with PACIA (Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association - Voice of the Australian chemistry industry). The event will assist participants to understand and unlock the benefits and opportunities provided by the China Australia Free Trade Agreement

The forum will feature a keynote speech from Victorian Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade, The Hon Philip Dalidakis, followed by a range of expert speakers covering a variety of topics related to the Free Trade Agreement, including: 

  • Mr Peter Roberts, Assistant Secretary, North Asia Goods Branch, Free Trade Agreement Division, DFAT - An overview of the ChAFTA 
  • Senior Representative, Austrade  - Australian government programs and services to help support Australian companies
  • Mr Philip Smith, State Director, SME – Vic & Tas, Export Finance Insurance Corporation (Efic) - Securing Finance
  • Mr Andrew Gregory, Associate, FB Rice - Protecting IP and developing patents
  • Mr Jonathan Clancy, CEO, Qenos - Using ChAFTA to export knowledge and skills
  • Ms Danielle Davenport, ‎National Sales Manager, ICAL International Customs & Logistics - Logistics

Following the presentations there will be a panel discussion moderated by Ms Rohini Kappadath, Director of Cross Border Business, Pitcher Partners and Chair of the Victorian Government’s Multicultural Business Ministerial Council, as well as opportunities for Q&A.

At the conclusion of the forum we also welcome guests to attend our networking drinks function from 5.00pm - 6.00pm.
