Australia China Investment Forum

24 September 2009

Grand Ballroom
Hilton Hotel Sydney

Trade with China is now worth more than $76 billion each year to the Australian economy.

Notwithstanding the global financial crisis, China’s economy is still growing, and its demand for Australian resources, innovation and expertise will continue to drive the country’s economic engines.

Yet what are the implications of China’s growth and increased outbound investment on Australia's capacity to maintain its comparative advantages across key sectors?

What is the role of government in regulating and facilitating bilateral investment?

How should Australia effectively engage China and maintain its core economic relationships throughout the wider region?

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China, ACBC is delighted to partner with the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia to present this event.

With support from the ANU China Institute, the Australia China Investment Forum will be a key voice in this major bilateral discussion.
