Guest Expert - Helen Li, Director, Eficaz Recruitment

Born in Northeast China, Helen Li immigrated to Australia in 2008 to study at Sydney University.

After graduating with a Master of Commerce and a Diploma of Human Resource, Helen honed her HR and business as skilled working in HR Managerial positions across a number of industries including franchising, IT, consulting, architecture, construction and most recently providing HR Project services to the NSW State Government.

Living and breathing cross-cultural marriage in Helen personal life, she speaks Spanish. Helen fully embraces the diversity and developed a great understanding about challenges and opportunities in the workplace.

Helen designed her own ' CAPER' Model (The acronym CAPER stands for: Curiosity, Awareness, Patience, Embrace and Respect) to tackle cultural challenges.

In 2018, Helen founded Eficaz Recruitment. She sees the big cultural gap in understanding the needs of Chinese businesses and the huge opportunity to help students improve their employability.

She had hired hundreds of people, and provided personal coaching to over 50 professionals and students, helping them to succeed in their interview and map out their career plan.

In her spare time, Helen plays the violin, practices Latin dance, enjoys running to keep fit.
