Melbourne: Sustainable Property Development and the Rise of Intelligent Technology

ACBC Victoria invites you to our event ‘Sustainable Property Development and the Influence of Intelligent Technology’

Whilst sustainable development has boomed in Australia’s commercial property sector, the small to medium sized multi residential sector is yet to see strong leadership on this issue. However, the rise of AI and big data is set to change this with the increasing influence of intelligent technology systems. 
At this event you’ll hear from outstanding guest speakers and panellists, who’ll enlighten you on current sustainable development practices, the role of AI, as well as, future trends and opportunities. 
Our first speaker Mr Michael Myer will speak about his role as the Founder of Creating Places that Matter (CPTM). CTPM is a development partnership that searches for developments suited to design of and creation of Conservation & Sustainable villages here and around the world. 
Professor Ming He, Melbourne University, Board Member, Australia China Health Accelerator will outline his work on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve problems and improve quality of life and lifestyle habits. Ming will look at where AI is heading and discuss the China market.
Mr Rob Gell, Executive Director at Rethink Sustainability is a well-known environmental geographer and communications specialist. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and an Inaugural Fellow of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, he is a member of the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute Advisory Board and was a member of the Victorian Coastal Council from 2000 to 2018.  He was a director of Greening Australia for thirteen years, seven years as Victorian President and three years as national President concluding in 2011.  For eleven years, Rob was the Chair of the Mornington Peninsula and Westernport Biosphere (UNESCO) Reserve Foundation Ltd until 2014. 
Following the keynote presentations, you’ll hear from panellists including: 
Theodore Stone, Project Manager, AusPacific Property Investment to give a ‘hands on’ view of the commercial property development market in Australia, and
Ms Mandy Middlemist, Building Performance and Sustainability Consultant, Siemens, whose work includes Energy saving, Smart data, Digitalization in Building Technology, Building Management and Data-driven services.
