At 415 million people, Chinese millennials make up almost one-third of China’s total population, a group which is larger than the combined working population of the US and Western Europe.

They are the single largest segment of China’s outbound travellers, accounting for 67 per cent of total Chinese overseas tourists and travelling overseas twice as much as previous generations.

With the rise of Chinese millennials, the rules of the marketing game will never be the same.

In this session, Asia marketing specialist and Co-Founder/ CEO of MultiConnexions Group Sheba Nandkeolyar talks about the impact of Chinese millennials on brands and marketing and what the future looks like for Australian marketers.

Bio - Sheba Nandkeolyar

Sheba commenced her career and held senior roles at Interpublic, McCann and WPP Group across three continents which included CEO/ MD roles. While working in Asia, Sheba realised the value of strategically targeting multicultural audiences and its impact on the marketing bottom line.

Sheba is the Co-Founder and CEO of MultiConnexions (MCX), Australia’s largest independent multicultural and diaspora marketing agency. Sheba’s marketing experience includes advising on brands such as Telstra, ANZ, AustralianSuper, Westpac, HSBC, Western Union, Kellogg’s, and other brands in entertainment, health, pharmaceutical and FMCG industries.

She is on the Board of International Advertising Association, Australia Chapter. IAA is the global voice to connect, inform and represent the marketing communications industry as an inspiration to business and society. She is also on several other Boards including a DFAT Board and industry boards.
