Navigating China’s Consumer Market – Trends and Advice for Australian companies
Brent Moore – Austrade Trade Commissioner Shanghai 
Brent has been a Trade Commissioner in the Australian Consulate-General Shanghai since February 2014. He leads the China food, beverage, consumer and e-commerce team, working closely with distributors and e-commerce companies to provide commercial insight and business matching services for Australian SMEs and ASX-listed companies. Brent is the lead author of popular Austrade publication e-Commerce in China: a Guide for Australian Business and is a regular speaker on doing business in China. His insights have appeared in The AustralianAustralian Financial Review and ABC Radio.  Prior his posting, Brent was Executive Officer for East Asian Growth Markets in Austrade’s Sydney headquarters. He was formerly a trade policy officer in Canberra and Beijing for the Department of Agriculture, covering multilateral and trade negotiation, including the ChAFTA and the WTO Sanitary and Phytosanitary Committee. In the private sector, Brent has lead trade sustainability consulting projects in Libya and Peru for the European Commission.  Brent is a Mandarin speaker and has lived and studied in China for more than eight years. He has degrees in Commerce and Arts (Chinese) from Deakin University and studied on exchange at Nanjing Normal University and the Ocean University of Qingdao. Brent is completing his Master’s Degree in International Business and Law at the University of Sydney.

Jeff has consulted with Fortune 1000 companies such as Pfizer Consumer Health, Disney, Danone, Unilever (Skincare) and Nestle to name a few. Born and raised in the U.S., Jeff has lived unique markets including Russia, Ukraine, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Myanmar and Thailand. Jeff attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and the Gallup Masters Program with a focus on Integrated Marketing Services. Asia Market Development is an Integrated Marketing Services consultancy based in Shanghai, focuses on Australian brands entering the China market through company formation, consumer understanding, branding and localization, distribution, social media management and overall go-to-market strategy and execution.
