Speaker Bios

Jane Lin-Baden, CEO, Isobar Asia Pacific

Jane Lin-Baden joined Isobar China in 2007 as Managing Partner when she folded her agency into what was then known as wwwins Consulting. In May 2013, she was promoted to CEO of Isobar China Group, and subsequently CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific in June 2016.

As CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific, Jane leads the regional team and drives strategic growth to expand Isobar’s capabilities and accelerate business growth throughout the region. Isobar Asia Pacific has 28 offices across 12 markets in the region with more than 2,500 digital talents. Isobar Asia Pacific won a total of ten Agency of the Year awards in Campaign Asia’s 2015 Agency of the Year Awards and was named Digital Network of the Year for the fifth time in the last six years.

Jane has over 18 years’ industry experience in technology and digital marketing for both start-ups and agencies. Her client engagement experience includes P&G, Yum, Mondelez, Kraft, Huawei, BMW, Philips, Shell, Sony Ericsson, Mars and Johnson & Johnson etc.

She holds a MBA degree from The Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania USA and MA of History of Contemporary Art, University of London UK.

Michelle Bendschneider Executive Director of Global Products – Telstra Enterprise 
Michelle has over 23 years’ experience in the ICT industry, almost exclusively in global multi-national organisations. With a background originally in Software Engineering, she has held executive roles in Sales, Services and Technology solution domains, across multiple industry segments and geographies. 
Michelle joined Telstra in 2013 as the Executive Director for Global Services Practices, with a remit to establish a Technology Services organisation. Prior to Telstra, Michelle worked for IBM for 14 years, in a number of domestic and global roles across Technology Services, Sales, Industry Sectors, Outsourcing and Consulting. Her early career included 5 years with the Philip Morris Group in technology roles, followed by a period of consulting with a number of Global Software and Services organisations. 
Michelle’s current role is to lead the Global Products division, responsible for delivering world class products and solutions to Telstra’s Enterprise and Business customers globally. With key strengths in strategic & results leadership, and a passion for transformative change and talent development, Michelle has underpinned her career with strong customer-centricity, having held many senior strategic customer relationships in prior roles. 

Raymond Ma General Manager, Alibaba Cloud ANZ & ASEAN 

Raymond Ma is leading Alibaba Cloud business in ANZ and ASEAN, providing cloud and big data services to startups, SME, corporations and government. Before that, he led Alibaba Cloud business in the China public sector.  
Raymond has great interest and experience in startups and mobile internet. He was the co-founder of China largest female mobile app, Dayima, which focuses supporting and caring for female health. In 2015 Dayima had registered more than 100M users. 
Raymond has over 10 years’ experience at IBM and led the Smarter Cities global product management work within the IBM software group. Prior to this, he led the China SOE IT consulting service at the IBM global business service group.  
Raymond achieved his computer science master and bachelor degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University in China, and got his MBA degree from Vlerick Business School.  
Charlie Macdonald CIO, DB Schenker Australia and New Zealand 
Charlie is the CIO of DB Schenker Australia and New Zealand – DB Schenker is a global leader in Air & Ocean Freight and Logistics services. He has over 25 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics based in Europe & Asia. Prior to joining DBS Charlie was the Industry Executive for Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics at Telstra where he published a number of research papers including in 2015 “The Personal Chain” a study on how consumer focused digital retail is disrupting supply chains. 
Charlie was previously the Chair of the ICT Executive committee of the Australian Logistics Council.

Mark Tanner, Founder and Managing Director, China Skinny

Mark Tanner is the founder and managing director of Shanghai-based China Skinny. Through his agency he has worked with over 100 international brands on their China marketing entry and growth strategies. His views on the China market have been quoted by more than 200 international media outlets and he regularly provides commentary in publications such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Forbes. He authors the most read newsletter about marketing to China and is a regular keynote speaker in both China and internationally from Helsinki to Hong Kong and Beijing to Barcelona, and many places in between. Prior to moving to China Mark led the world's first unbroken paddle down the River Nile, hunted for Viking treasure in Iceland and cycled solo across Canada mid-winter.
