EVENT OVERVIEW

ACBC NSW, together with MinterEllison and the Treasury, will be hosting the ACBC NSW - Post-Budget Foreign Investment Review Board Update to be held on 19 July 2017. 

The session will focus on the recent changes to the foreign investment framework that were announced at the 2017-18 budget, broader issues impacting the framework and also provide a brief summary of foreign investment trends in Australia. 
 
The information session will feature, guest speaker, Adam McKissack, Principal Adviser, Foreign Investment Division of Australian Treasury and will provide valuable opportunity for participants to interact with FIRB senior Treasury representatives.
 
SPEAKER BIO

Adam McKissack
Principal Adviser, Foreign Investment Division, Treasury

Adam is currently Principal Adviser in the Foreign Investment Division of Treasury, where he leads a team advising the Government on investment policy as well as major cases before the Foreign Investment Review Board.  From 2010 until early 2015 he held the position of Senior Treasury Representative at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.  In this position he represented the interests of Treasury in China in areas such as economic reform, foreign investment, financial services and taxation. Adam has held various other roles during his time in the Australian Treasury and other public sector agencies.
