ACBC Victoria is pleased to invite you to the next event in our SME Briefing Series focused on how to set up a business entity in China and maintaining the right legal compliance. 

Our guest speaker is Mr Tim Lyons, Director and Managing Partner of ManageChina - a Shanghai based consultancy firm. Tim has over ten years experience living and working in China, assisting companies in managing their market entry and compliance/management requirements in China.

Tim will provide insight into:

  • Choosing and establishing the right corporate entity in China
  • Maintaining the right legal compliance across a broad range of government authorities
  • Costs, processes and best practices including a discussion of IP protection
  • Significant recent changes in the law that impact your entity in China. In particular the new Cyber Security Law and how this may impact you as the legal representative of a foreign firm in China

The presentation will be followed by discussion, Q&A and ample networking opportunities. 

About our speaker: 
Tim Lyons, Director and Managing Partner, ManageChina
Tim has been living and working in China for ten years and is Director and Managing Partner of ManageChina - a Shanghai based consultancy. Prior to living in China Tim lived and worked in various parts of Asia including Singapore, Japan and the Philippines. ManageChina is an advisory and business process management consultancy specialising in assisting foreign companies with a small China footprint to manage their market entry and/or day-to-day compliance/management requirements in China. Over the years our company has assisted both small and large organisations - public, private and government - and boasts a roster of clients that include Fortune 500 and ASX 200 companies, universities and smaller family run businesses. Tim's community work has included the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai as Vice Chairman (Finance and CSR director) as well as a current role as a director of the Shanghai charity, The Renewal Centre. For the last ten years Tim has also been a Visiting Professor in Marketing to IESEG School of Business (Paris) - a school consistently ranked Top 10 in France.
