Alex Wang 
Executive Director, Peloris Global Sourcing

Alex is a senior supply chain expert with over 22 years of extensive experience gained at first-tier multi-national companies across Asia. Have broad background combining technical supply chain background, process knowledge and functional expertise contributing towards a considerable professional expertise.

Areas of expertise include: supply chain optimisation, procurement process mapping/re-engineering, supplier enablement, and e-procurement. Alex have worked across a broad range of international projects, performing both strategic and operational consulting, enabling strategic business change and business performance improvement. Alex is a resourceful and creative problem solver with proven aptitude to analyse and translate complex requirements and business problems and design/implement innovative custom solutions.

In 2011, Alex and business colleague Peter Verry co-founded Peloris Global Sourcing Pty Ltd (PGS) and its sister company, Suzhou Peloris Trading Co., Ltd (SPT) to provide a consistent and compliant ‘paddock to plate’ cold chain solution to manage the rapidly increasing volumes of premium food imports into China.

In 2014, PGS, working collaboratively with China Inspection and Quarantine Services (CIQ), pioneered commercially viable China imports of pasteurised fresh milk and has managed weekly imports of Australian fresh milk since then whilst maintaining a 100% record of compliance with China border clearance regulations.

PGS continues to expand its unique services in this area with the importing of other perishable and high risk food categories including chilled beef, fresh produce and infant milk formula.

PGS is currently expanding its operations to include the management of China and south east Asia food imports from other regions including Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
