Speaker: His Excellency Dr.Geoff Raby, Ambassador to China
Dr Raby has been Ambassador to China since February 2007. He has witnessed significant change for both countries over that period. There was the thirtieth anniversary of China's open door economic policy reforms launched under Deng Xiaoping, the Olympics, and now the World Trade Expo 2010. Above all for Australia, it is the prime position that China now occupies in Australia’s commercial relationship.
He has played an instrumental role in the development of Australia China relations. Also an economist his address on Australia and China: Business Dynamics and Strategies will bring valuable insight.
Dr Raby is an ex-officio member of the national board of Australia China Business council.
