Charles Brent is immediate former Commissioner – Greater China for the Victorian Government based in Shanghai. Charles has some 17 years specialising in building opportunities and businesses in China, both through leading Colonial Mutual Group in China as well as operating his own investment advisory practice.  He will cover;

Entry and Expansion in China’s Consumer Markets - Dr Ron Lane, MD Trout & Partners
Ron Lane has repositioned many icon brands such as Peter Jackson, Sorbent and Colonial. As a result Peter Jackson  achieved market share increase from 4% to 18% in twelve months; the Sorbent brand in the toilet tissue category saw the brand market share increase from 5% to 19% in seven months; the Colonial brand in banking/insurance/wealth management increased revenue from A$1b to A$3b. He worked with Charles Brent, developing a new range of single & annual premium savings product in Shanghai, which was highly successful. Trout & Partners have offices in 30 countries and have operated in China since 1998. Ron will cover Entry and Expansion in China’s Consumer Markets.

Graham Brown, together with Mme Wei Xin, heads the international business group of the Beijing JunZeJun Law offices, a legal team specialising in working with foreign entities doing business in or with China.  Graham has been active in Chinese legal circles since 1991, lived in China since 1997 has extensive experience with Chinese commercial and legal issues.  Graham will cover:
