Owen Hegarty is one of Australia's mining icons, has been described as a “colourful” mining identity and ambassador for his industry. He has nearly 40 years experience in mining – former Managing Director of Rio Tinto Gold and Rio Tinto Asia. He founded the Oxiana Ltd Group which became OZ Minerals Ltd.   All Owen’s activities have close links to China. Owen will cover:

o The Outlook for Commodities
o The Importance of China to both demand and supply
o Insights into Chinese investment in Australia
