Coal Delegation

20 April 2011

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Sydney

Venue:
Level 13 Gateway, 1 Macquarie Place
Sydney

Description:

This Delegation presents an excellent opportunity for those involved in the Coal Industry to meet and network with Chinese investors and buyers.

Their specific interests include coal mine project investment opportunities in Australia and stable suppliers of both coking and steaming coal (specifications available).

In March 2010, ABARE forecast growth in Australia’s total coal exports from 274 Mt in 2009 to over 390 Mt in 2015 driven by the increasing coal demand from the emerging
economies, such as China. This represents a 22% growth in metallurgical coal and 42% growth in thermal coal in that period.

Chinese investment in Australian coal mines and export infrastructure is expected to accelerate Australian export growth in coal in both Queensland and NSW.
