Most entrepreneurs are dealing with cross-cultural issues on an almost daily basis. This evening will provide a unique opportunity to learn the very best negotiation techniques from Mr. Peter Hemming, an expert with the world renowned Karrass training program. Learn about the different perspectives in Chinese and western cultures and business approaches and participate in a role play negotiation.

Speaker Bio: Mr. Peter Hemming
After an early career in Banking, Retail and Transport, Peter spent 17 years with an Industrial Laboratory Chemical Company. Peter was then asked to be General Manager of the European franchise of Karrass where he was responsible for marketing and developing training programmes world-wide.
Peter has also worked as an independent consultant focusing in the areas of:
- Negotiation
- Leadership and Team Motivation
- Presentation Skills
- Cross-cultural awareness
He also was Negotiating Skills Course Director at Henley Management College, and worked with the Civil Service College and London Business School.
Peter established Karrass Europe for Dr. Karrass in 1992, and was Director for Europe & Asia/Pacific. In addition to giving seminars and speeches to private and state enterprises around the world, he provided negotiation consulting to organisations and individuals.
An Executive VP of CITIC Trading first invited Peter to China in October 1998. He has since worked with SETC (State Economic & Trade Commission); SDPC (State Development Planning Commission); SEPA (State Environment Protection Agency); MOFTEC (Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Co-operation) ; CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade); SMPG (Shanghai Municipal People's Government); FPETC (Fujian Provincial Economy Trade Commission); China-Singapore Industrial Park Development Co; SAMI (State Administration of Machinery Industry); MoC (Ministry of Communications); Bank of China; CSIEE (Centre of Shanghai Industries for External Exchange); MLSS (Ministry of Labour & Social Security) and the General Administration of Civil Aviation.
Peter has given many speeches in China at events organised by SETC; First Priority Consulting, a Chinese training organisation, and the British and American Chambers of Commerce.
Karrass Europe has now restructured to Karrass Worldwide, with Peter becoming a part-time Director so he can focus on developing global business, expand his practice: China Insight, undertake client consulting and improve his golf game!!!
