The current world economic crisis is likely to be the deepest downturn in the industrial world since the Great Depression of the 1930’s. It comes after an incredible period of world economic growth.
Asia is in the best shape of the major regions to ride the recession out and China has been expected to be relatively immune from the world’s financial woes by switching to a domestic demand led economy.
Can China’s fiscal stimulus insulate it from the worst of the ‘Great Recession’ and can Australia benefit from its close economic interrelationship?
