China's Role in the Global Financial Crisis

27 November 2008

5pm-7pm
Sydney

Venue:
Bligh Room
Hunt & Hunt
Level 13, 1 Macquarie Place
Opposite Circular Quay Station

Description:
What will be the impact of China's increasing stake in US Treasury Securities on the balance of global power and the wider identity of the globe's political and financial system? Furthermore, do the events of the last few months point to a distinct role for Chinese economic, financial and political power in providing stability to the architecture of the world's economic system?

Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to hear the widely recognised China expert Dr Xisu Wang address these issues and deliver an insider's assessment of the Chinese Government's recent stimulus package and its implications on Australia's economic growth.

Educated at Harvard and MIT, Dr Xisu Wang assisted the first western companies to establish businesses in China, including EDS, Unilever and Caradon Electric, which provided him with rare insights in forming sovereign joint ventures in China. Based in Beijing and still consulting to foreign companies in China, Xisu provides insightful commentary on socioeconomic and geopolitical issues in China.

Dr Xisu Wang's briefing is made possible through the support of Think Global Consulting.
