Description:
Notwithstanding the Olympics, China has continued to engage in legislative and administrative reform. Legal developments in 2007 and 2008 include radical changes to the system of bankruptcy law, anti-monopoly law, labour law, foreign exchange laws and intellectual property regime.

Vivienne Bath, Director of the Centre for Asia and Pacific Law at the University of Sydney, and Natalie Stoianoff, Director of the Master of Industrial Property Program at the  University of Technology, Sydney will summarize and discuss the recent and proposed legislative changes in China and their likely impact on foreign businesses in China.
