What information do we collect from web browsing?
For the purpose of web site administration, research and development, our web server records information in our access logs about all visitors to the site, including the time, date and URL of your request. For security purposes, payment information via credit card details will be deleted immediately after transactions processing and will not remain in our records.

Membership profile information?
The ACBC maintains a membership database on its website (www.acbc.com.au).
This database may contain any information (excluding financial information) relating to members held at any time by the ACBC. All such information published on the ACBC website may be accessed by other ACBC members only. Members will not be included in the membership database without their consent.


All information collected by the ACBC from members (including prospective members) is used for the purposes of maintaining membership of the ACBC and providing members with the benefits of membership of the ACBC. The information will not be disclosed to any other person except with consent or under compulsion of law.

Members may gain access to the information collected and held by the ACBC in accordance with the requirements of the NPPs by contacting the ACBC Branch office in the relevant state.

When do we disclose your personal information?
For the purposes referred to in this policy we may disclose your personal information to external organisations including:

outsourced service providers who manage the services we provide to you including mailing systems, credit card processing for credit related purposes; our professional advisors including our accountants, auditors and lawyers; and our related companies.

Do we send information overseas?
We do send personal information out of Australia.

Access to your personal information
If you would like to access to the information collected and held by the ACBC in accordance with the requirements of the NPPs then please contacting the ACBC Branch office in the relevant state. For security reasons, you may be required to put your request in writing or provide proof of your identity.

Security of your information
We will take all reasonable steps to secure your personal information. Electronic information is protected by various security measures and access to information and databases is restricted to staff of Australia China Business Council that need access to the information in order to perform their duties. Sensitive electronically captured customer data is passed through a secure site using encryption technology to ensure your personal information is protected if it is sent over the internet.
